I think there's a typo here: "the expectation being that a system, currently existing, is probabilistically hissed to continue existing." Should "hissed" be "biased"? That looks more like an OCR error than a typo or swipe error.
Beauty, or Pirsig's Quality (which to me is essentially the same thing), comes before other things. I'm persuaded that there are powerful forces at work to fill the universe with Quality and Beauty, and some day we'll develop new physics to understand more of that. I'm also persuaded that the quest to build AGI is encouraged by those powerful forces.
